About Par Bay Community Trust

Established in 2014, Par Bay Community Trust serves the communities of Par, St Blazey and Tywardreath. Based at Cornubia Hall in Par, the charity works to reduce social isolation, improve health and wellbeing, develop skills, support education and provide a welcoming community hub where local people can learn, socialise and thrive. Through everything from wellbeing groups and community activities to NHS clinics, creative workshops and digital support, the Trust makes a real difference to people's lives every day.

Getting connected, together

As part of our partnership, the Trust has introduced Easology smartphones to members of the community who wanted to become more connected but felt that modern smartphones were simply too complicated. Many participants had previously said they would never own a smartphone.

Thanks to the incredible support and patience of trustee Sonia Clyne, those same people are now making fantastic progress. Learning together in a relaxed, friendly environment, the group has grown in confidence week by week. They're discovering how to make calls, send messages, take photos, keep in touch with family and friends, and enjoy all the benefits that smartphones can bring.

Perhaps most importantly, they're having fun along the way.

Designed for people new to smartphones

Easology has been designed specifically for people who are new to smartphones or who find today's technology overwhelming. With its clear layout, large icons and text, intuitive navigation, helpful accessibility features and ongoing UK-based support, Easology removes many of the barriers that prevent people from embracing technology.

This partnership perfectly demonstrates what can be achieved when the right technology is combined with outstanding community support. Together with Par Bay Community Trust, we're helping people build confidence, stay connected and discover that using a smartphone really can be enjoyable.
