Yes, you do need a Sim Card. The Samsung Easology Smartphone needs a mobile sim card inserted into it, in order to make and receive phone calls and send and receive text messages. The Samsung Easology Smartphone is compatible with a sim card from any mobile network.

Nothing is restricted, the Samsung Easology Smartphone is about being easier-to-use, not about doing less.  You can access all features, functionalities and services just as you would with any other Samsung Smartphone. So, make phone calls, receive texts, use WhatsApp, browse the internet, download apps, use social media, watch YouTube videos and much more.

We are continually looking to update and improve our Easology software, as well as keep you safe. We will notify you via a prompt on your phone screen when an update is available for you to download. In addition, from time to time there are Android updates, including Operating System updates – you will also receive these to your Samsung Easology Smartphone.

If you have mild or moderate hearing loss (most people with presbycusis, or age-related hearing loss, fall into this category) you can use the Samsung Easology Smartphone as normal, and your hearing aid microphone will automatically pick up the sound coming from the phone. You can also stream audio directly to your hearing aids using the phone’s Bluetooth capability. However, please note that the Samsung Easology A05s nor A16 4G do not support ASHA (The Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids protocol from Google Android).

Yes, the Samsung Easology Smartphone does support contactless payment (just turn on ‘NFC’ in the phone’s Settings menu).

Yes, the Samsung Easology A05s and A16 4G and 5G smartphones are dual sim card enabled. The A05s has a 3 slots – 2 sim card and a micro SD. The A16 smartphones have 2 slots – 1 sim card and 1 hybrid that can be both a sim card or a micro SD.

Yes, there is a headphone port on the phone, so you can fit wired headphones (or speakers). Also the Samsung Easology Smartphone is enabled with Bluetooth, so you can connect the Samsung Easology Smartphone wirelessly to your headphones or speakers.
